2006 has been a year like no other for the Rooneys. In January Sheila moved to Slovenia where she studied for four months. The rest of the family joined her on Saint Patricks Day to entertain the Irish Ambassador and various guests there. April brought the opportunity for the family to share with audiences at home their unique sound at the Odyssey arena where they entertained crowds of up to 4000 people. June saw the family travelling to Denmark where they played to appreciative audiences at Varde and the renowned Skagen Festival. July bought them back, once more to the shores of Rostrevor where they entertained an international audience with an international performance, their music now including original pieces with a distinctly European flavour as well as the solid base of Traditional Irish music and song.
